Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Senior Project Manager entails overseeing all aspects of projects within Illumina's Singapore operations, from initiation to closure. In addition, this role will lead and facilitate in implementation and sustainment of our PMO governance tools & processes to achieve overall business and operational goals.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Project/Program Management
Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities
Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to successfully deliver projects from initiation to closure.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
Drive project execution, monitoring progress, managing risks, and addressing issues to ensure project goals are achieved.
Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Identifying and sharing/exploiting opportunities for project team.
Managing project team, and provide clear, concise communication to keep team on track and accountable for project goals while taking responsibility for team's successes and failures.
Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among project team members, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to meet stakeholders satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Project/Program Management Governance
Establish & maintain project/program management tools & process that is scalable to support ILMN's growth.
Support in reviewing projects/program & resources statuses for SG Operations, enabling portfolio strategy priorities by using PM tools and methodologies.
Provide timely reporting and ensure visibility on all project status/resources and/or any continuous improvements.
Building knowledge to the broader community and ensure project managers (dedicated/non-dedicated) project managers are equipped with the latest tools and systems related to project management.
Contribute to data analysis efforts, encompassing tasks such as collecting, cleansing, and analyzing data to produce actionable insights for decision-making, thereby providing valuable support to the PMO in gaining resource optimization and project insights essential for informed strategic planning and effective project management.
Preferred Education:
BA/BS/BENG Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience such as project management or program management office.
Proven track record managing cross functional/cross site programs or projects.
Strong attention to details needed for data analysis.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems.
Experience working in cross-functional teams comprising various internal organizations.
Ability to influence across the organization at all levels.
Preferred GMP+ ISO 13485, ISO 9001 Standard trained.
PMP/PRINCE II Certification preferred.
Experience with business intelligence solutions for data consolidation and analysis.
Familiarity with Tableau, SQL, and Planisware is a plus.
