Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and support to the QA/QC Manager for the development, implementation, review and revision of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and attachments.
- Interact with other Managers and Engineers to implement and coordinate the PEP and attachments.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of the PEP and provide reports to management on quality performance and areas of improvement.
- Review subcontractor/supplier quality systems.
- Report on quality-related matters to the QA/QC Manager, including preparation of monthly summary reports.
- Preparation of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) in accordance with CEP schedule.
- Preparation of Document Submissions for client approval
- Interact with Managers and Engineers to implement and coordinate the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) in accordance with Construction Execution Procedure (CEP) schedule.
- Compile and receive relevant Material certificates and test reports from Suppliers.
- Coordinate with relevant testing laboratories for Material Testing and witnessing.
- Compile and maintain quality records e.g. Request for Inspection (RFI) and verify as necessary.
- Coordinate on-site quality assurance and control activities e.g. receive and ensure the correct concrete grade and type is delivered to respective area and structure, witness concrete sampling and slump test with QPS (client engaged supervision team).
- Conduct site verification of construction drawings, procedures, inspections plans, etc. being used by construction personnel.
- Quality inspection surveillance to site and raise an NCR or Quality observation whichever is applicable if there are quality issues onsite. Conduct an investigation for any NCRs and submit the report to Quality Manager for review prior to issuance to the relevant party.
- Responsible for Architectural quality inspection, material verification, and quality documentation.
- Promote quality awareness with project personnel.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant quality management experience on LTA MRT projects is a must.
- Operational experience in the application of quality management principles in the construction industry.
- Communicate clearly and concisely.
- Competent user of in-house software, with working knowledge of wider applications.
- Able to work on Saturdays.
