The Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer is responsible for implementing site quality assurance and quality control system, in compliance with the quality standards at the site.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Engage the project team to deliver high-quality work on the construction site
- Lead the standard of QAQC and train the site team on Structural and Architectural trades
- Assess site operations and procedures daily and recommend improvement actions
- Provide insights for defects and recommend preventive measures
- Prepare monthly reports for Management
- Conduct Internal Quality Audits, and monitor operations to ensure meeting quality standards.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials being used, prepare the report inspection and test data
- Compile trade information, test reports, and formalize documentation
- Liaise with authorities (i.e. BCA on assessment to achieve target score, LTA on inspections and compliances)
- Adhere to safety practices in the workplace
- Obtain buy-in from the project team towards quality assurance and quality control initiatives.
- Translate a deep understanding of quality standards and requirements into site works.
- Operate electronic inspection equipment and software
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field
- Experience: At least 3 years of building and/or civil engineering experience
- Experience in QA/QC and certified auditors would have an added advantage
- Completed at least 1 building project Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of quality requirements of BCA, industry norms, and contract specifications
- Quality Management Systems certification - ISO 9000
- Knowledge in Structural and Architectural works
- Require working on-site experience
- Good to have a related safety course certificate
- Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, etc.
