Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveyor (QS):
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and budgets for construction projects.
- Manage tendering processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
- Monitor project costs and track variations to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Conduct site measurements and valuations for interim payments and final accounts.
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and consultants on cost-related issues.
- Assist in contract administration, including reviewing contracts and managing claims.
Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS):
- Lead the QS team and provide guidance on cost management strategies.
- Oversee all cost control activities across multiple projects.
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in contract management.
- Provide advice on cost-effective solutions and potential risks to senior management.
- Prepare financial reports and cost forecasts for project stakeholders.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Quantity Surveyor requires 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation and contract management.
- Senior Quantity Surveyor requires 7+ years of experience, including leading QS teams and managing large-scale projects. Experience in dispute resolution and contract negotiation is a plus.
