Ensures reliability and mechanical integrity of equipment for processes, utilities, facilities and controls with an objective to constantly improve site production and cost performance.
Develops engineering solutions for repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations including capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.
Promotes, supports, co-ordinates and facilitates multi-disciplinary, multi-level teamwork (reliability) improvement activities, both reactive and proactive, and assist in implementation and follow-up of action items
Major Responsibilities:
Ensures reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities and controls with an objective to constantly improve site production and cost performance
Lead and drive mechanical integrity program in compliance with regulations
Take a lead to troubleshoot equipment reliability issues and carryout RCFA for the repeated failures and failures that has an impact to production, quality and safety.
Lead RCM studies for critical assets/systems and implement the action items generated.
Run online/offline condition monitoring program site wide.
Promotes, supports, co-ordinates and facilitates multi-disciplinary, multi-level teamwork (reliability) improvement activities, both reactive and proactive, and assist in implementation and follow-up of action items.
Works with project engineering teams to ensure reliability/ maintainability of new/modified installations.
Perform analysis of asset performance including: Asset utilization, Overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life and capital replacement plans as well as other parameters that define Site MEP KPIs such as availability, maintenance performance, reliability and R&M costs of assets.
Develop SOPs, equipment job aids, checklist to assure no equipment reliability issue after repair work.
Evaluate content of maintenance plans in CMMS including methods, maintenance frequencies and spare parts needed
Qualifications:
Education
A bachelor's degree or a diploma in Mechanical engineering discipline.
Experience
Mechanical engineering degree with at least 5 years work experience or a diploma with a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical/ biological/ chemical/ oil & gas industries.
Experience driving RCM studies and RCFA
Experience/Knowledge in Asset Integrity Management
Sound technical knowledge coupled with hands-on experience in maintenance of processing equipment
Skills
Comfortable working in a team and matrix environments with high degree of initiative and self-motivation
Scientific approach to solving problems and makes data-based decisions.
Keen in driving and adopting new technologies.
Knowledge of CMMS, Reliability, and proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
Knowledge on vibration analysis, RCM and RBI
API 510/570/580 certification will be an added advantage
