Your team

Pictet Asset Management manages the assets of some of the world's largest institutions, financial intermediaries and their clients. Our culture welcomes independent thinkers and centres around investment excellence, a long term perspective and a dedication to client service.

The Southeast Asia institutional sales team is currently made up of professionals who prospect and service institutional clients throughout Southeast Asian countries by marketing Pictet Asset Management's (Pictet AM) strategies.

Your role

Reporting to the CEO, Asia ex Japan, you will play a critical role in Pictet AM's drive to further develop its business in Southeast Asia. This position is a key one in the mission to grow Pictet AM assets under management in Southeast Asia. The role fill focus mainly on Southeast Asian market, working together with the whole institutional sales team, Asia ex Japan.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Prospecting clients in Southeast Asia: setting up a prospect contact programme, scheduling appointments and organising presentation meetings with institutions identified as potential clients.
  • Expanding existing client relationships.
  • Developing and maintain relationships with investment consultants to help build their understanding of Pictet AM value proposition.
  • Attending industry conferences, help identify relevant sponsorship opportunities and seek speaking engagement opportunities to grow Pictet AM's brand and exposure in Southeast Asia and showcase relevant investment capabilities.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues to gain a thorough understanding of Pictet AM products, services and investment processes, strategies and solutions.
  • Building a solid working relationship with relationship managers, portfolio managers, customer service and product engineers
  • Provide guidance and support to the junior members on the team to help them develop their sales skills

Your profile

  • University degree in Economics or Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • CFA qualification is an asset.
  • A minimum of eight to ten years experience in marketing to investors in Southeast Asia.
  • Strong market knowledge and detailed understanding of asset management with good connection with governments, pension funds, corporations, institutions, endowments and foundations.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial markets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Genuine team player.

As the successful applicant you will demonstrate drive, have a keen entrepreneurial spirit and be able to develop successful business relationships and close deals. You will also have a flair for communication, be able to manage priorities and multi-task on different projects concurrently, as well as having an eye for detail. Working in a self-reliant manner in a broader team makes you excel. You will be joining a structured and highly motivated team where you will ultimately become a main contact person for our Southeast Asian clients and drive our business plan in Southeast Asia.
