Responsibilities:
Design, build and maintain software for our industry-leading DNA sequencing instruments
Work in a scrum team of developers, testers and domain experts
Drive and lead engineering standards, tooling, processes and best practices
Mentor junior engineers in growing their software engineering craft

Who we're looking for:
Strong development experience in designing and building web applications.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Java and application servers (such as Wildfly)
Proficient in frameworks such as Angular and React. Working knowledge with Vaadin is a big advantage.
Good working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely in discussions and writings
Prefer simple solutions over complex ones
Passionate in raising the engineering capabilities of the team through various means such as mentoring, introducing best practices, etc.
Be curious and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly
Proactive and team-oriented with strong collaboration skills comfortable working across functions and time zones

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years and a Master's degree or a PhD without experience or equivalent work experience.
Experience in biotech and bioinformatics is a plus
