Senior Software Engineer, Mainframe

Responsibilities:

. Ideally, at least 7 years of relevant work experience

. Plan, Install, Manage, and administer Mainframe, Upgrades and Maintenance

. Manage and deliver support for z/OS, DB2, IBM TWS, IBM RACF, IBM RMM, IBM SDSF, SMP/E, IODF.

. Hands-on experience in installing, upgrading, and administering IBM, CA and BMC products.

. Hands-on experience managing DFSMS suite - DSS, HSM, RMM, VTL and replication.

. Experience managing enterprise Mainframe Storage Systems - Disk and Virtual Tape

. Experience with Mainframe recovery, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, maintaining, and configuring using Mainframe LPARs

. Develop/Maintain/Improve in-house programs and utilities in COBOL, REXX.

. Experience with MF Data Center and MF network (VTAM, TCPIP and TN3270)

. Collaborate with other infrastructure teams, e.g., Storage, security teams, open systems, network, etc., to ensure applications running in DB2, and MQ can interface with applications on other platforms, e.g., WebSphere Application Servers on Linux

. Perform performance data collection, analysis, and tuning of Mainframe Systems.

. Implement project and internal initiative responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

. Participate in incident and problem management activities related to application and Mainframe Systems

. Diagnose and resolve environment system abends and abnormal operating problems using system logs and other available logs and documents.

. Perform problem diagnostics and resolution as well as change management.

. Collaborate with other team members within the same Information Technology (IT) departments, functional users, and vendors to provide guidance and supervise project implementation.

. Provide 24.7 on-call support Mainframe Infrastructure.

. Meet or exceed customer SLA.
