At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're hiring Solution Architects to advise the largest public sector and health organizations across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) on how they can transform the way they use technology to deliver business value and improve citizen services. Our Solution Architects use their personal experiences building on AWS, combine them with the experiences of other customers, and help enterprises understand and realize the business value they can unlock using AWS services. This role has three main components: supporting technical vision and strategy; architecting specific cases; and guidance and advisement to deliver change in customer technical environments.
Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
As part of the public sector Cloud Transformation team, Solution Architects collaborate across the entire AWS organization to deliver the best solutions for customers. As trusted customer advocates, the team helps organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions; how to migrate and/or re-develop existing workloads in the cloud and modernise infrastructure, applications and data to optimise for business and customer outcomes. You will help shape solutions for a broad range of customer use cases primarily from large enterprise customers in the Public Sector.
The role requires cross-industry business acumen and enterprise transformation. It requires a desire for continued knowledge acquisition and growth, obsession for customers and their success using AWS. You will take advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation and high-availability features of AWS services. Achieving success will require coordination across many internal AWS teams and external AWS Partners, with impact and visibility at the highest levels of the company.

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
