Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January
  • Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

    DESIGNATION : Senior Specialist, Supply Chain Development (Project Management)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The FairPrice Group Supply Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) or Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery.

    Job Purpose

    You will be a key member to contribute towards the growth and delivery of the Supply Chain Development & Analytics department. This position will be responsible for developing and driving the overall planning, implementation, control and completion of the supply chain and/or network design related projects, ensuring alignment with the Supply Chain development and larger Supply Chain BU strategy and goals.

    Responsibilities

    Lead project planning and managing the project scope, deliverables, implementation, resource plan, cost, timeline and across all related work streams and functions, providing sound decision making and leadership under pressure.
    Identify key stakeholders, determine project requirements, address key concerns of stakeholders and designing an effective communication plan for each project.
    Engage and manage relationships and expectations with cross functional stakeholders (mid to senior management level) throughout the project lifecycle.
    Negotiate project implementation costing, financial tracking/reporting to ensure efficient utilisation of resources and within budget and allocation of costs to respective project stakeholders.
    Partner and collaborate with Supply Chain Business Insights team to develop metrics, dashboard, reporting project results and track actual cost saving after deployment to ensure alignment with overall company and business group strategies.
    Provide and present regular status reporting on project implementation progress, highlights and lowlights including recommendations to project stakeholders and sponsor(s) to enable overall project progress monitoring.
    Develop and lead the change management plan including conducting training (where applicable) and addressing any queries/concerns raised by project stakeholders.
    Embedding quality across all aspects of the project to deliver successfully, enforcing project governance, ensuring transparent and timely communication to project sponsors and stakeholders on any emerging risks/dependencies and corresponding mitigation plans.
    Anticipate and manage changes to both project plan / framework as well as project scope and detailed documentation of project and changes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum 6 years of project management experience related to supply chain network and optimisation and transformational projects for retail, FMCG, e-Commerce industries etc.
    Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain or related discipline.
    Possess a in-depth knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end (E2E) supply chain including logistics, transportation, process improvement and inventory management.
    In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, lean or six sigma.
    Strong leadership qualities to negotiate and exercise influence when managing internal stakeholders and external partners.
    Strong change agent who drives and champions change.
    Proven ability to lead, manage multiple and complex projects as well as effectively manage change and project budgets.
    Excellent reporting and documentation skills to ensure timely, clear, and concise information flow among all project stakeholders.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of audiences/stakeholders and deliver difficult messages whilst maintaining buy-in.
    Excellent organizational,multi-tasking, problem-solving, attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical mindset and skills.
    Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g. APICS) and/or project management certification preferred e.g. PMP, Prince2 etc.
