Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design, implementation, and optimization of complex enterprise-scale systems infrastructure for ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and Webgisdr deployments.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to the GIS and systems engineeringteams.
- Collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to define and architect advanced GIS solutions leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Conducting comprehensive performance testing, tuning, and capacity planning for ArcGIS Enterprise systems.
- Performing in-depth enterprise system health assessments and implementing improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
- Configuring and optimizing infrastructure components, including IIS, load balancers, proxies, databases and related systems.
- Mentoring and training junior team members.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise and infrastructure deployments.
About You
Reporting to the Manager, System and Data Engineering, you will offer a minimum five years experience on extensive experience as a Systems Engineer, with a focus on architecting and managing ArcGIS Enterprise and associated infrastructure. To be successful in this role with us, you will bring along:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field
- Extensive experience as a Systems Engineer, with a focus on architecting and managing ArcGIS Enterprise and associated infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise architecture and components, including ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Data Store.
- Proven track record in deploying and optimizing high-availability, load-balanced ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
- Experience in capacity planning, load testing, and performance tuning for enterprise GIS systems.
- Familiarity with webgisdr configuration and disaster recovery strategies.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure components, such as IIS, load balancers, proxies, databases and related technologies.
- Good understanding of Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure and Google)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering innovative GIS solutions.
- Leadership abilities with experience in guiding and mentoring team members.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with GIS teams and stakeholders.
- Esri Technical Certifications (e.g. ArcGIS Enterprise Administration, ArcGIS Desktop Professional) are preferred.
