Digital Division's IT Group (ITG) supports the IT needs for DSO's enterprise and R&D functions. ITG oversees the development and operations of core IT infrastructure, enterprise networks, and enterprise applications.
Senior System Infrastructure Engineer (Endpoint Application)
In this role, you will:
- Be part of the System Infrastructure team to ensure that DSO enterprise IT systems are developed and deployed in an efficient and robust manner towards a high level of maintainability, reliability, and availability
- Provide technical expertise to support new IT infrastructure projects to design, evaluate, and deploy the entire infrastructure that covers virtualisation, security, enterprise applications, and collaboration technologies
- Optimise IT systems performance and availability that is balanced with the security requirements
- Manage vendors in the development and deploying of IT systems
- Drive IT productivity and improved efficiency through automation/scripting
- Collaborate with other members of the team on design and troubleshooting issues
- Perform diagnosis, troubleshoot, and conduct root-cause analysis for any issues regarding the enterprise IT systems
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or related disciplines
- Preferably 5 years of relevant IT experience in designing, deploying and managing complex IT infrastructure systems and services
- Strong knowledge and technical hands-on experience in IT infrastructure technology, infrastructure architecture, including active directory, endpoint configuration management, patch management, AV & Endpoint protection and Microsoft clustering
- Experience in planning, design, deploy and operate systems technologies for complex IT infrastructures, and project, contract and vendor management
- Strong working experience in configuration change/patch management tools like SCCM, WSUS, Red Hat satellite server for patching of operating system, software deployment, configuration changes and reporting; MS KMS for Microsoft license management
- Strong working experience in monitoring tools like PRTG
- Working knowledge of active directory: GPO
- Working knowledge of AV & Endpoint security products like Symantec, Trellix, etc
- Relevant Experiences in Microsoft SQL
- Relevant experience in PowerShell / PowerCLI/other scripting languages, automation tools like Ansible
- Working experience on IT Security (e.g. OS/System hardening, vulnerability remediation)
- Good written and verbal communication and ability to influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audience and senior management
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation, team interaction/effectiveness, proactive, analytical and decision-making skills
- Professional certifications will be an added advantage eg. CompTIA Security+, Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, RHEL, etc
