What You'll Do
- Conceptual building layout for new transmission substation development (HVAC / HVDC, aboveground / underground) and renewal of existing substation involving the following tasks:
- Conduct site survey and assess site feasibility
- Source for relevant information e.g., site plan, existing services, as-built drawings, etc
- Design and draft conceptual building layout for new developments and civil modifications (A&A works) for renewal project using software, e.g., BIM / AutoCAD incorporating latest requirements of substation equipment and internal stakeholders
- Consult internal stakeholders to confirm conceptual layout
- Consultation with government agencies for various in-principle no-objection and/or approvals: e.g., Master Planning Committee (MPC) Approval, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), etc.
- Work with government agencies, developers and manage consultants on transmission substations, A&A works and sites related matters.
- Others:
- Calculate substation building / land cost estimates
- Any other assignments / projects (technical or administrative) as and when assigned by supervisor
What You'll Need
- Diploma/Degree in Civil/Architecture or equivalent from any of the recognized institutions in Singapore
- Relevant working experience (at least 3 years) in architectural or building works pertaining to transmission substations
- Good knowledge of software applications e.g., BIM, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Good initiatives and meticulous
- Prefer to work in the office / desktop environment with occasional site surveys
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and cope with tight deadlines
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
