You will assist the Operations Manager in overseeing banquet functions such as seminars, conferences, events, weddings etc and handling of matters relating to event operations.
Job Description
- Set up and operate audio-visual equipment for events
- Install and configure audio & lighting systems
- Manage and troubleshoot technical issues during events
- Coordinate with Sales team, event planners and coordinators
- Maintain and manage equipment inventory
- Provide on-site technical support during events
- Ensure all technical aspects of the event run smoothly
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements
- Conduct pre-event testing and checks
- Assist in the design and layout of technical setups
- Train and supervise junior technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve event goals
- Prepare and dismantle equipment post-event
- Document technical setups and configurations
- Provide technical advice and recommendations
- Manage time effectively to meet event schedules
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ensure high-quality audio and visual output
- Perform routine maintenance on technical equipment
- Direct the development and integration of new systems and applications to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, and meet business needs.
- Strong understanding of technology trends and software development
Requirements
- Nitec/Higher Nitec in Audio/Lighting/Events or related studies
- Minimum 1-2 yrs of relevant working experience
- Good knowledge in equipment and troubleshooting
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to timelines
- Able to work on weekends (including Public Holidays)
