Senior Testing and Commissioning Engineer (Ref.No. R1007593)
at our location in Singapore
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cut-In/Out Test & Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing test and commissioning activities related to large-scale rail infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical engineering and a proven track record of working in high-pressure environments, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and project requirements.
You will enjoy having these responsibilities:
- Define pre-requisites and priorities for Test & Commissioning (T&C) planning.
- Coordinate the production of T&C documentation and ensure its timely delivery.
- Manage interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Witness or perform specific tests on the system to verify compliance and functionality.
- Plan and coordinate site testing activities to align with project timelines.
- Coordinate necessary resources for system tests, ensuring that each entity provides its own staff and equipment.
- Organize readiness reviews before system testing, and follow up on mandatory corrective actions.
- Develop and manage action plans to address system malfunctions, aiming to achieve performance targets.
- Oversee system configuration throughout successive testing phases.
- Participate in weekly T&C meetings to review requirements and progress.
- Produce and issue a 4-week lookahead plan for T&C activities.
- Prepare detailed documentation for test procedures, including method statements.
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
- Verify that all requested works comply with local electrical regulations and customer requirements.
- Prepare marked-up drawings reflecting site conditions and approved modifications.
- Draft and maintain test procedures and relevant technical documentation.
- Execute cut-in/cut-out of circuits for new systems or reroute cables/systems that require testing and commissioning.
- Ensure full compliance with site safety and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations, and ensure that all team members adhere to these rules. Remain vigilant to identify and address any potential safety hazards on site.
- Providing comprehensive support to the T&C Manager by delivering all necessary inputs, data, schedule plan, issue list, KPI reports etc. to ensure effective communication management with both internal and external stakeholders
You have:
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and make corrections when necessary.
- Previous experience in Testing & Commissioning of large rail infrastructure projects (>10 years)
- Familiarity with working in and around live electrified railway systems.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment, including multimeters, scopemeters, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI and experience in project planning are advantageous
- Able to understand the regulation and requirement of local electrical practice and SMRT/ LTA requirements.
- Willing to work in night shifts and on call duty.
