Overview
Seeking a highly skilled systems administrator with extensive experience managing UNIX/Linux environments in both on-premises and cloud settings. This role involves maintaining system stability through effective installation, upgrades, patching, automation, and troubleshooting, with a focus on RedHat, Solaris, and AIX platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimization of UNIX/Linux systems, including key tasks across RedHat, Solaris, and AIX.
- Manage system configurations with automation tools and infrastructure management platforms, ensuring efficient resource allocation and security.
- Handle virtualization, clustering, and partitioning across multi-platform systems to enhance system availability and performance.
- Utilize cloud resources for VM deployment and management, focusing on automation and scalability within AWS and Azure environments.
- Monitor batch processing and operational workflows, creating and refining scripts to enhance process efficiency.
- Participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve resilience.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in UNIX/Linux systems administration, with a proven background in managing complex, multi-environment infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of automation, cloud deployments, and system integration.
- Skilled in scripting to support workflow automation and process improvements.
- Effective communicator, with experience coordinating and supporting technical requirements across teams.
Preferred Certifications
- Professional credentials such as advanced certifications in Linux, UNIX, cloud systems, or relevant infrastructure tools are an asset.
