Purpose of the position
. Repair and maintenance work for MacGregor product (crane) range, plus 3rd party maker if needed
. To ensure the work is carried out efficiently, accurately, in a friendly manner and supporting management and the rest of the organization in necessary areas
. To support Service overall goals and budgets
. Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards
Main tasks and responsibilities
. Professionally supervise and/or perform service activities (refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions) on MacGregor and equivalent equipment

. Continuous development of one's own skills
General
To carry out the day to day activities as specified below:
. Provide information and write reports as required
. Establish and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers
. Enable feedback from customers and the service market in general to reach the appropriate MacGregor organisation
. Stay up to date with relevant developments, routines, processes and news within MacGregor major customers active in business area
. Cooperate with the local MacGregor service network
. Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements
. Follow all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
. Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate that to the relevant persons
. Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at site, as agreed with sales responsible
. Sharing of acquired job knowledge with the team as necessary
. Awareness of the profitability in the department
. Job management of the subcontractors
. Need to work irregular schedule with short notice at times
. Sometimes need to travel or follow with vessel for job assignment
Authority
. Make decisions about commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Operations Manager or Superintendent
What you'll need to succeed
Education:
. Technical education or college level in electrical background or similar relevant experience
Experience:
. Min. 2 years experience with marine cranes
. Experience in the marine industry
. MacGregor crane or deck machinery knowledge is preferred
Competencies:
. English language, report writing and communication skills will be essential
