Shadow Support Teacher (Special Needs Child)

Job Description

Shadow Support/Classroom Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a 8 year old child with cerebral palsy.

• Job Scope

Support child with complex disabilities to meet his learning and developmental needs.

• Work with the lead teacher in the classroom to support child to participate in their daily curriculum.

Work with the lead teacher to plan and implement social, emotional and/or behavioural interventions for the child.

• Set up of learning activities and follow-through of learning/behaviour plans.

Support with child's daily living skills (toileting, dressing and mealtime routines).

• Work in collaboration with a multi-professional team of teachers and therapists.

• Minimum Requirements

Diploma in Special/Education, Early Childhood, Psychology or related field

Experience with children with special needs

Have a strong command of English and have good organizational skills

Able to work independently and yet be a good team player

Fun, caring, confident and enthusiastic

Full training will be provided.

Pay: From $3,
