Our client is a well-known player in the shipbroking industry. They are currently seeking to hire a Ship Broker (Dry Bulk).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct effective negotiations for charter contracts, aiming for favorable terms and conditions.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with shipowners, charterers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor market dynamics, including freight rates, vessel availability, and regulatory developments, to provide strategic guidance to clients.
- Deliver timely market analysis and insights to support informed decision-making processes.
- Oversee the entire chartering process, from initial inquiry through to post-fixture operations.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, such as operations and legal teams, to ensure seamless contract execution.
- Stay current with industry standards, environmental requirements, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to chartering activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in Ship brokering
- Extensive knowledge of the Dry Bulk market, including vessel types, trade routes, and market trends.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build enduring client relationships.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting market data and trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.
