Shipbroker [Fort Canning] - 2323

Working Days: 5 days, 9am-5.30pm (might be beyond office hours due to industry nature)

Salary: $3,500 - $4,000

Location: UE Square (Fort Canning)

Intro:

You will work alongside our experienced Brokers to help strengthen relationships with existing clients for sales and help develop new businesses.
The main role is to act as an intermediary/negotiator between shipowners and charterers to arrange freight transportation.

Job scope:

• Understudy and hands on operational aspects of a Charter party.
• Maintain databases and market information and reports for clients.
• Support the day-to-day activities of the Senior Brokers.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
• Prepare reports and analysis for existing/incoming customers.
• Help to manage internal data flow of key market information.
• Attend meetings and events with clients where required.
• Carry out post fixture support in a prompt and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Maritime studies
• Proficient in MS office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
