Job Summary:
The candidate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments.
This role includes preparing documentation, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
The candidate coordinates with various departments (cross departments) to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Support Shipping Activities:
- Communicate with carriers and freight companies to schedule shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, booking confirmations, packing lists, and invoices.
- Handle customs documentation and clearances. Generate permits for import/export (in pipeline - subject to certification)
- Coordinate with Depot on container collection and returns
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information and shipping costs.
- Work with customer service to address any shipping-related inquiries or issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a shipping or logistics environment preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with shipping software and logistics systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
- Use of standard office equipment, such as computers and phones.
