Logistics / Site Coordinator
Salary: $3,000-$4,000
Working Location: Jurong Port (Entrance to Jurong Port at Jurong Port Pass Office)
Site Office: Storage warehouse beside Jurong port that has a container office where the employee will station
Working Hours:
- Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm (OT most likely required, but no OT pay)
- As this is a supervisory position and working at Jurong Port, they must be 24/7 on standby for any issues occur since the shipments run 24/7. However, there will be workers around doing two shift work, day and night, so the supervisors don't need to be there at night unless issues occur.
We are currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the discharge of construction aggregates (stones, sand) at a port, ensuring smooth discharging operations for all barges and vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Allocate manpower and equipment effectively to manage and ensure vessel and barge discharging operations of construction aggregates at the port runs smoothly.
- Oversee daily operations related to the arrival and departure of barges and vessels.
- Liaise with port authorities to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily reports on barge and vessel activities.
- Manage warehouse inventory, ensuring optimal supply of goods for delivery to customers.
- Coordinate with the truck teams and ensure all company goods are promptly delivered.
- Manage and ensure the safety of our workforce at work.
- Ensure equipment are maintained and operational for every deployment.
- Able and willing to work irregular hours, including weekends. Port operations run 24/7.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination
- Able to drive and hold a valid driver's license in Singapore. Company vehicle provided for work use.
