The Company

Join our client, a fast-paced, international consulting firm as an Assistant Finance Manager, where you will play a key role in financial reporting and consolidation for the region, preparation of quarterly schedule and variance analysis review of the local offices.

The Role

The Assistant Finance Manager will oversee the regional financial close process, managing the consolidation and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes. This includes reviewing financials at the regional and country levels, conducting variance analyses, and ensuring the accuracy of Balance Sheet reconciliations, including Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting. The role also involves preparing quarterly SEC schedules and working closely with APAC and Corporate finance teams. Additionally, the Assistant Finance Manager will ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and statutory requirements, managing SOX and internal audit activities across the region. They will drive process improvements, foster a culture of integrity, and collaborate with various finance functions, such as Shared Services, FP&A, Tax, and HR. The role may also include responsibilities such as managing the bank system, participating in regional finance projects, and supporting SAP4/Hana system initiatives as needed.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification, with 6-8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a Big Four firm, followed by a finance role within a multinational corporation. A strong grasp of US GAAP and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is essential, along with excellent analytical skills and a proactive, curious mindset. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial, as the role involves collaboration across functions and cultures throughout the Asia Pacific region. Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with business intelligence and consolidation tools (such as Hyperion or Business Objects) is preferred. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
