Position Overview
Nauticus SAP is a mission critical enterprise healthcare system, which comprises of the Patient Management (PM), Patient Accounting (PA), Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) and Material Management (MM) modules actively being used by 21 institutions under NUHS, NHG, NNI, 1FSS and AIC Clusters.
It consists of 45 servers/virtual servers, with approximately about 280 active interfaces to more than 100+ upstream / downstream systems.
With the aging hardware which has resulted in several incidents of hardware failure and the extension of support expires by Sep 2023, there is a need to replace the hardware. The Tech refresh also ensure compliance as per ICT Security and Resilience Policy.
The Nauticus Tech Refresh Aims To Achieve The Following
Deploy new hardware and ensure the software are up-to-date for next 5 years (Sep2028) to continue operation until the Nauticus functionality is fully replaced by upcoming new systems like NGEMR, BT and S/4 HANA.
Segregate SAP Primary application server and database into different network zone.
Minimise the cost and scope of Nauticus SAP Tech refresh with the progressive off-boarding of SAP functionality to NGEMR, BT and SAP S/4 HANA.
Role & Responsibilities
The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into system/product data solutions. He/She develops project plans, identifies, and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit. He/She handles situations which may require extensive research of the organisation's business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures, or problems according to business needs. He/She addresses complex questions and/or issues.
He/She is able to see connections between business and IT needs of an organisation, and to develop and communicate effective system solutions. He/She thrives and easily draws trends from ambiguous circumstances and addresses complex issues with sound judgement and decisions.
Identify business needs
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand needs and gather requirements
- Make presentations to stakeholders on opportunities and constraints of processes and systems/data products
- Prioritise user request in line with software system strategy
Analyse systems
- Support in formulating system scope and objectives
- Support in examining interactions between system elements, system performance and issues
- Guide the collection of information about new or existing systems/data products for analysis
Develop solutions
- Write / review the requirements documentation scripted into system requirement specifications
- Support in recommending appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems
- Support in overseeing the evaluation of new systems/data products to determine the feasibility of installation
Manage project implementation
- Support in project timelines planning and resources needed
- Apply project management tools
- Support in enforcing use of best practices and frameworks for project implementation
- Support in identifying project risks and mitigating actions
- Support in delivering projects in line with agreed standards, providing fit for purpose solutions within constraints
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in project delivery and implementation
- Degree or Diploma in System Engineering/ Computer Science/Information Technology/Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Proven working experience in project management of SAP modules FICO, MM. Knowledge in SAP ISH is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and soft skills, excellent in client-facing role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive self-starter with an analytical and creative mind
