About Global Payment
The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.
The Payment Network team in Global Payment ensures a secure, professional and efficient overseas payment solution, helping businesses to unblock payment channels and effectively assisting overseas business and product expansion. This includes tasks such as building general service capabilities, payment instruction orchestration engine, etc.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following internship cycles below:
Singapore
Off cycle - August to Nov 2024 (Part Time)
We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit in either internship period. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).
Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to ByteDance and its affiliates jobs globally. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture for global payment systems;
- Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle;
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code;
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting;
- Review and debug code; Perform validation and verification testing;
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve our products;
- Document development phases and monitor systems;
- Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologiesMinimum Qualifications:
- Final year with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
- Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose programming languages
- Strong communication and excellent teamwork skills; flexible and be a self-starter.
- Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver;
- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant internship experience with hands on exposure to the tech stack
- Interested in payment industry
