Software Production Support Executive

Responsibilities:

• Provide second and third-level support for the applications.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Analyze, identify, and resolve complex software issues.
• Debug and troubleshoot Java code to fix defects and performance issues.
• Utilize logs, monitoring tools, and other diagnostic methods to identify root causes.
• Work closely with development teams to understand application functionalities and dependencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product Management, to resolve issues and improve applications.
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders to provide updates and resolutions.
• Participate in the development and deployment of application updates and enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application support and performance.
• Manage and prioritize incident tickets and service requests and escalate critical issues to appropriate teams and ensure timely resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java/AS400/PL SQL application support.
• Experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL) and writing complex queries.
• Good experience in with UNIX environments
• Strong skills in Windows batch, Tectia scripting, MS SQL Database, BMC Control-M Scheduler
• Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, and working knowledge of ITIL principles.
• Knowledge of application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic) would be advantage.
