Nature and Scope
The job holder is the Specialty Gas Production Technician who reports directly to Specialty Gases Operations Specialist. He must have high standard of safety and environmental awareness. A team player with effective communication skills and customer oriented. He shall demonstrate an on-going willingness to learn by keeping abreast of new developments in gases and chemical industries and is expected to perform under pressure.
The major challenge of the job is to keep down the lead times to a very short period and to ensure reliability of production which is necessary to enable the company to retain its present customers and acquire new business.
He must contribute our EHS Program in Basic Safety Process, job safety analysis, near miss report and adaptive preventive techniques for the department to achieve Safety KPI.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The production technician shall start blending jobs according to Process Order (PO) and Production Card issued by Production Administrator. He shall retrieve the prepared RTs from the Preparation area and inspect those cylinders are prepared as required in the Production card and send to the respective blending booth.
All cylinder inspection process is carried out as per operation procedure and relevant work instruction. The technician shall check all RTs that should be identified as per PO and Production Card require.
Demonstrate an ability to look after the general well-being of the plant, e.g. on the look-out for leaking couplings, faulty instruments, etc
Able to interpret laboratory results correctly and knows the required adjustments to be made.
The technician shall check and maintain the equipment/instrument of the department, such as weight scales, balances, vacuum pumps, manifolds, air compressor, etc. in good working condition.
The technician shall provide on-site customer service if required.
Assist his supervisor for good working practices amongst workers and to see that they abide to all the safety regulation enforced in the plant.
Safety
The Technician shall follow the companys safety policy and is responsible to ensure that safety precautions are undertaken in the working place.
Documentation
The technician shall prepare document according to work instruction and jobs assigned by the supervisor.
The technician shall record data of orders blended via Camel and physically in the production card, then confirm orders in SAP and paste labels & Tags if applicable.
Cylinder Inventory control
The technician shall assist Production Chemist monitoring and recording incoming outright sale cylinders as well as raw materials.
To perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Job incumbent is expected to complete N level, NTC 3 or equivalent
12 years relevant experience in the gas industry
Effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
Basic MS Windows / Office and SAP knowledge
Forklift license will be a plus
