We offer a comprehensive gamut of services to care for the sick, frail and elderly who have physical or mental disabilities with minimal or no appropriate caregiver support at home.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Spirituality Care to Staff, Residents and their families in accordance with The Salvation Army and Peacehaven Nursing Home mission, values and philosophy, and with respect to the Resident's professed faith.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily rounds to RLAs under the supervision of the Counsellor and in consultation with Nursing Staff to determine which staff and residents are more seriously ill, discouraged or in need.
- Be available on call as needed to support staff, residents and families.
- Conduct Resident Intake Assessment under the supervision of Counsellor and present appropriate findings at Multi Discipline Meeting (MDM) or Resident Care Plan Meeting.
- Participate in Resident-Family Case Conferences and Care Plan meetings as required.
- Coordinate arrangements for the administering of Religious Support, upon request by family members or residents.
- Coordinate regular Spirituality Session under the supervision of Counsellor for the staff, residents, residents families and members of the public as appropriate.
- Prepare and conduct funeral services, under the supervision of Counsellor, as needed and agreed by families according to guidelines of the Family/Peacehaven responsibility directive and as coordinated with the Spirituality Team.
- Work in conjunction with Spirituality Team to identify and solve non-nursing, resident issues.
- Provide appropriate Religious and Spirituality Support for Peacehaven staff to help them cope with issues such as working with dementia, death and grief.
- Organize and participate in staff welfare and other events and duties.
QUALIFICATIONSDiploma in any discipline.
Knowledge of customs and rituals of various faiths is an advantage.
2-3 years experience in the healthcare or nursing home sector.
