- UWCSEA East campus has a vacancy for an energetic Sports Assistant to join our team.
Reporting to the Head of Physical Education and working with the Team Lead, the incumbent will support the Physical Education teachers and Sports Coaches in preparing facilities and equipment for P.E. lessons, sports activities, and events.
Prepare, distribute, set up, and store sports equipment for P.E. lessons, after-school activities, and holiday camps. Maintain and repair equipment, manage stock inventories, and ensure all items are ready for use.- Ensure the safety of all facilities and equipment in line with health and safety regulations. Report any unsafe conditions or broken equipment promptly.
Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for sports days, tournaments, and school events. Provide support for specialised activities such as climbing, high ropes, and water sports.
- Manage the procurement of additional equipment, food, and beverages for sports events. Assist in the organisation and storage of equipment orders, including annual overseas shipments.
Maintain cleanliness of sports kits and lost items, mark pitch lines, and ensure secure storage of valuable equipment. Uphold student safeguarding standards during all P.E. lessons and activities.- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Minimum diploma in a related discipline.- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in schools or similar sporting environments

- An enthusiastic team contributor with good interpersonal skills.
Physically fit to fulfil a demanding job that may entail lifting and manoeuvring heavy equipment.- Excellent English (written and spoken) and an ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with International School students, parents and staff.
Flexibility to work during weekends and evenings when needed.
