Group Strategic Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the FairPrice Group brand in an increasingly omni-channel retail industry. Working closely with all units within the FairPrice Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital and media communications to differentiate - and elevate - our brand purpose and narratives.

The Role
You will be part of the FairPrice Foundation team that spearheads the development and implementation of funded initiatives and programmes, while nurturing partnerships with community partners to expand its outreach and impact in society. These efforts serve to fortify the FairPrice Group brand while amplifying our storytelling across digital and media platforms, elevating our brand narrative amidst a dynamic retail landscape.
Job Description
- Work in a dynamic team to support the execution of a first-in-kind flagship programme and portfolio aimed at ensuring essential daily necessities are readily available for lower-income individuals and families.
- Provide support on the planning, coordination and execution of events for key Foundation programmes including cultivating strategic partnerships with community stakeholders.
- Support the grantmaking process including, tracking and processing applications and disbursement of funds and sponsorships, providing up to date records of contributions to causes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating program outputs and outcomes, including drafting impact reports of Foundation's giving and communicating results across communication channels.
- Liaise with community partners and lend support in crafting compelling social media posts and website write-ups, using storytelling to amplify impact and strengthen the narrative of the Foundation's social mission.
- Any other assigned projects or duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any related field
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience in program management, event planning/coordination, communications and/or community engagement within a non-profit or social impact setting. Applicants from organisations with a strong social purpose or dual bottomline will also be favourably considered.
- Programme/Events management - Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in grant administration and/or sponsorship activities; including coordinating and executing community events.
- Partnership development - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success cultivating relationships with community stakeholders.
- Communications - Strong storytelling and content creation skills, with the ability to craft engaging messages across social media, websites, and traditional media channels.
- Administration and governance - Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail in tracking data, budgets and generating insightful reporting on projects or initiatives.
- Personality - Sense of humour and laugh at oneself; ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; self-motivated and passionate about serving the everyday Singaporean.
