Sr Mechanical Design Engineer - Semicon Equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements for the vision module and translate them into innovative mechanical designs
• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for components and assemblies
• Conduct feasibility studies and performance assessments to optimize the design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
• Perform structural analysis and simulations to ensure the design meets performance and reliability requirements
• Drive design reviews and coordinate with suppliers to procure components and materials
• Support prototype build and testing activities to validate the design and iterate on improvements as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field advanced degree preferred
• At least 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design in the semiconductor industry or related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as Creo/ SolidWorks/ AutoCAD) in designing components and assemblies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
• Knowledge of optical systems and vision technologies is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Competent in communicating in Chinese as this role require close partnership with peers and team members based in China
