Family Group: Allied Health
You will provide quality rehabilitative care for musculoskeletal patients with traumatic and non-traumatic hand and upper limb conditions.
You will assess, develop and implement treatment plans to assist optimal independence in individuals with hand and upper limb conditions.
You will also educate and provide training for family members and caregivers.
You can also expect to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance in education opportunities to staff and students.
You can also expect to receive the opportunity to collaborate with hand & reconstructive microsurgery surgeons and orthopaedic surgeons.
Job Requirements:-
- A degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by AHPC
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience of working with clients with hand and upper limb rehabilitation
- Passionate about hand therapy
- Skilled in thermoplastic splinting
- Demonstrate commitment to provision of occupation-based hand occupational therapy practice
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Desire to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care
Other Qualification(s)
- Bachelor Degree
- Certification in Hand Therapy is preferred but not essential
