As the primary contact for patients, the Registered Staff Nurse manages the treatment and recovery of patients by administering preventive, curative and rehabilitative care.
- Provide nursing services requiring substantial and specialised nursing skills.
- Work closely with the Resident Doctor and multi-disciplinary team to provide care to the residents
- Update changes in the residents condition and needs
- Evaluate residents response to care interventions and recommend revision of care as necessary
- Work with allied health professionals and / or initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures
- Carry out and supervise assessment of all new admissions
- Prepare clinical documentation and ensure all documents are up-to-date
- Administer medication to the residents and comply with safe medication practices
- Work with Supervisor to conduct quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care
- Work with staff to maintain a safe and clean environment in the nursing home
- Familiar with the use of Nursing Home IT Enablement Program (NHELP) process
- Any other ad-hoc duty assigned by your supervisor / Head of Department
Nursing Diploma and Degree graduates who are registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) may work as a Staff Nurse.
