The company is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with learning differences or special care needs from ages 4 to 30 years old.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Care and Supervision: Oversee, monitor, and assist students with personal care and ensure safety and well-being of students during care hours
- Program Development and Implementation: Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs and abilities and implement structured activities that focus on enhancing monitor skills, social interactions, communication and self-regulation by using a variety of teaching methods
- Collaboration with Parents and Professionals: Communicate regularly with parents / caregivers, therapists, counselors, and other specialists to ensure students progress, behavior, and well-being are supported
- Behavioral Support: Identify and respond to behavioural issues, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns and prepare progress reports and participate in review sessions to assess the effectiveness of educational plans
Requirements:
- Experience with Special Needs Education will be an added advantage
