[What the role is]
You will provide holistic case management support to students-at-risk. You will be part of the professional team to coordinate and monitor the help provided to these students and work with their families, community partners and relevant stakeholders within ITE to render support to these students, with the objective of motivating them complete their studies.
[What you will be working on]
You are expected to provide casework management for students-at-risk and their families, which include the following:
- Gathering information to identify students-at-risk, e.g. family background, students needs, etc.
- Visiting students homes or other relevant places if necessary.
- Referring students and families to relevant stakeholders within and outside ITE to render necessary support.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders (e.g. departments within ITE, government and community agencies) to provide holistic care and support to students.
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting students progress.
- Re-integrating students back to School.
[What we are looking for]
- Candidates with suitable credentials in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work) will have an advantage.
- Preferably with at least 2 years of casework experience in the social service sector, working with and supporting students-at-risk and families.
- Good knowledge of social services landscape in Singapore.
- Passion and disposition for working with students facing complex issues and their families.
- Cultural sensitivity, collaborative and an openness to diverse views.
- Emotional stability, resourcefulness and resilience.
