Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including offshore oil and gas companies, renewable energy firms, and subsea contractors.
Identify and approach potential clients, presenting tailored solutions using subsea inspection tools and technologies.
Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
Product Knowledge and Sales Strategy:
Develop deep technical knowledge of subsea inspection tools, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and related technologies.
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to understand and promote product features and innovations.
Create compelling sales proposals, presentations, and contracts in collaboration with internal teams.
Project and Deal Management:
Lead negotiations, close deals, and manage contracts for large subsea inspection projects.
Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that all business development activities align with overall company goals and objectives.
Partnership and Networking:
Build and maintain strong networks with industry professionals, including attending trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events.
Develop strategic partnerships with complementary companies and organizations to enhance product offerings or service reach.
Financial and Performance Tracking:
Develop and manage the business development budget, including forecasting and reporting on sales targets, KPIs, and ROI.
Monitor the performance of key accounts and market penetration, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the subsea, oil and gas, or marine industries.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
Experience with subsea inspection tools, ROVs, AUVs, and related technologies is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of subsea engineering principles, inspection tools, and the operational challenges of subsea environments.
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Sales Skills:
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience in building and executing long-term business strategies.
Networking: Extensive network within the subsea or offshore industry is highly desirable.
