Job Description Lead or participate in the audit and assessment of suppliers ensuring they are compliant with associated policies/ procedures and ISO requirements.
Develop and maintain a Supplier Performance Scorecards, analyze and identify emerging supplier non-conformance trends using appropriate statistical tools.
- Ensures all suppliers and the materials they provide compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications and company standards.
Manage supplier corrective actions, monitor supply, review specifications, and perform supplier audits.- Secure and work directly with suppliers and audit supplies regularly for quality control. Perform process audits and identify gaps in the suppliers processes and work with the supplier in closing the gaps and improving the manufacturing processes.
Support Material Review board (MRB) meetings.
Responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying and resolving quality issues, and providing training and guidance to suppliers.
- Champion and continuously improve supplier-related nonconformance management process, with emphasis on striving for excellence in true root cause analysis effective verification of prevailing CAPAs executed by suppliers.
Facilitates supplier corrective action plans (example - 8Ds, control plans, FMEAs, process flow diagrams) following documented procedures.- Be responsible for developing suppliers using the appropriate quality tools (Process Capability, SPC, FMEA, Error Proofing, 8D and DoE).
- NPI (New Project Introduction)
Train suppliers to effectively execute PPAPs.- Perform production readiness assessments (PPAP reviews) at supplier facilities for high-risk suppliers/ components.
Supporting SQE function with data analysis as required monitoring supplier performance and project deliverables.
- Working with QA, Engineering and Sourcing as required, this role leads the failure investigation with suppliers following the rejection of supplied components or customer complaints arising from nonconforming supplied components.
Candidate must possess at least ITE/ Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Precision Engineering) or equivalent.
- Familiar with manufacturing process, precision engineering and quality assurance environment.
2 to 5 years experience in Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Development, and supplier qualification.- Knowledge on Microsoft office software.
Knowledge of mechanical drawing, GD&T, Machining Process, Plating Process.
- Knowledge in CAPA / 8D / Root cause analysis.
Basic knowledge on ISO 9001, Process Capability, SPC, FMEA, Error Proofing, 8D, PPAP.- Able to use basic measuring instruments like caliper, micrometer & profile projector.
Able to do OGP smart scope program independently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous with supply quality control measures.- High mix low volume work environment.
Independent and task prioritization.
