About The Role
As part of the Supply Chain & Logistics team, this role will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the region, assisting in the coordination of contract logistics projects, using data visualisation tools to develop and establish processes for operational excellence. You will also have the opportunity to propose innovation campaigns to gather interest, consolidate and drive innovative ideas across functions. This 6-months internship commences in Dec 2024/Jan 2025.
What You Will Be Doing
Project Management
- Work with project stakeholders to ensure timeliness of project updates and validation of any changes used for upstream reporting
- Initiate and adopt digitalisation opportunities through designing, developing and implementing of applications and workflow platforms for automation
Continuous Improvement
- Work with internal IT team and customers on changes, improvement and clarification of both existing and new parameters
- Initiate and adopt digitalisation opportunities through designing, developing, and implementing applications and workflow platforms for automation
Re-engineering/ Optimisation
- Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecard reporting related to the assigned operations
- Customise the objectives of each parameter, definition, target, calculation, frequency, source, retrieval method
- Highlight issues of failing KPIs and trigger correction action within relevant function
Requirements
The successful candidate
Essential
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree student in Supply Chain Management/ Industrial & System Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Business Analytics/ Computer Science or related fields
- Strong and proficient in Tableau application
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Basic programming skills (Eg. VBA Macros, R, Python)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and highly adaptable
- Fluent oral, written and presentation skills in English
Desirable
- Must be a team player with positive attitude, high desire for learning
- Business analytics qualification
