We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Supply Planner to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining an efficient supply chain, from managing raw materials to delivering finished products. You will work closely with various departments to develop, implement, and refine supply plans, swiftly addressing any disruptions in the supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales, demand, and production teams to align on supply forecasts and plans.
- Lead regular cross-functional meetings to ensure synchronized planning and execution.
- Manage the entire order process, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners regarding order status.
- Strategically allocate orders based on inventory levels, priority, and demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain detailed supply plans to meet demand and inventory goals.
- Monitor and adjust plans in response to changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
- Identify and manage exceptions related to raw material supply.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues such as shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
- Proactively manage the supply chain - this extends to Manufacturing, CMs, critical component suppliers, and other sub-suppliers.
- Take ownership of capacity challenges by actively resolving problems and implementing workarounds.
- Take ownership of technical challenges by collaborating with the relevant Product functions (i.e. Quality, Product Development, etc.). You will remain accountable for ensuring that the SMEs work together to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Actively communicate with key internal & external stakeholders on milestones, supply progress, and any disruptions or changes to the plan. Provide scenarios and recovery plans when there are backlogs or delay(s).
- Monitor, review, and progressively improve supplier performance in delivery, escalating when necessary.
- Participate and contribute to monthly Demand & Supply reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years supply/ production planning experience dealing with finished goods. Any experience in consumer products - especially furniture, would be highly advantageous.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin (for liaising with Mandarin speaking stakeholders and suppliers)
- You should be able to navigate complex, multinational Manufacturing supply chains.
- You should naturally gravitate to solving problems and have the relevant troubleshooting/ solutioning skills.
- You should be a proactive & reliable project manager communicating promptly, clearly, and concisely across countries and cultures.
- Experience in supply chain planning software and tools (we use Netsuite and will be implementing IBP - Integrated Business Planning)
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis.
- Some travel will be expected for this role
