The team supports windows Servers - physical and virtual machines covering all Lines of business enterprise wide. The job requires server build, configuration and support tasks, including troubleshooting and configuration of the technical environment, monitor and manage server performance and health. Working in shifts to cover production support, ensure infrastructure stability and escalations from core infrastructure teams. Responding to critical incident escalations and outages. This role exposes candidate to hardcore technical and troubleshooting skills, working with OEM vendors such as Microsoft, HP, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and configuring servers as per the deign document and complete post build tasks and checks.
- Resolving incidents impacting hosts or environment
- Assist with troubleshooting & configuration of the technical environment. Escalating and liaising with additional internal/external groups when required, resulting in satisfactory resolution
- Assist with planned events for VM migration.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity. Respond promptly to notification of potential service issues Manage and monitors server performance, health and server configuration standards
- Investigating & troubleshooting root causes via problem management
- Responding to L1 and L2 escalations
- Creating, reviewing, maintaining and updating documentation
- Planning and managing infrastructure for planned releases and business Continuity and practices.
Key Requirements
- Enterprise Server Build/Support experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022
- Experience supporting VMware virtual infrastructure. Proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms
- Strong scripting experience. PowerShell proficiency and experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely about technical topics
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Financial / Banking company experience preferred.
