Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and skilled System Engineer to manage, secure, and optimize our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking, security, and Windows-based systems to ensure seamless operations and robust system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows servers and related systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and user account provisioning.
- Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices to safeguard data and systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity and reliability.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with teams to support application deployments and resolve technical issues.
- Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
- Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides to support the IT environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and technologies.
- Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, and routers (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Solid understanding of security principles, including access control, encryption, and threat management.
- Experience with endpoint protection, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of Linux systems is a plus.
