KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor a team of Systems Operations Engineers, offering guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to foster team development.
- Monitor server conditions, application performance, and security measures to ensure optimal functionality and compliance.
- Identify, log, and resolve technical issues within the designated scope, handling all aspects of Incident Management.
- Ensure adherence to agreed-upon service levels by effectively managing service requests, incidents, changes, and patch management activities.
- Respond promptly to onsite issues, performing troubleshooting, diagnosing, and rectifying faults as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate the recovery of systems, liaising effectively with relevant teams to restore functionality.
- Identify and recommend potential changes and system improvements to support continuous enhancement and operational efficiency.
- Generate, maintain, and share detailed progress reports with the Service Delivery Manager to keep them informed of ongoing activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Clustering, NLB (Network Load Balancing), and Unix environments.
- Proficient in OS provisioning, hardening, and patch management to maintain secure and reliable systems.
- Skilled in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and ManageEngine for effective system management.
- Experienced with antivirus solutions like Symantec for robust protection against threats.
- Well-versed in cloud platforms and virtualization technologies, with a focus on scalable and flexible infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with BMC Control-M for streamlined scheduling and automation.
- Solid experience in server administration, including Active Directory management and fundamental networking skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure support required for this role.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- ITIL Foundation certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library for best practices in IT service management.
