System Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for system monitoring, management, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

• Manage on-premises and cloud systems across Microsoft, AIX, Virtual (VMWare or Hyper-V), AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Participate in the design, setup, configuration, implementation, and deployment of new server and cloud technologies on Azure or AWS.

• Plan and manage IT resources for tasks or projects, including budgeting and capacity planning.

• Maintain technical documentation for on-premises systems, AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure.

• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patches, and incident resolution outside of working hours when necessary.

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in system support and server administration, with a strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS.

• Hands-on experience with implementing and configuring Azure and AWS cloud technologies, including virtual machines, application services, load balancers, SQL Managed Instance, site-to-site VPN, storage solutions, network, security, logging, and monitoring.

• Hands-on experience with on-premises Windows Server, VMWare vSphere, and Hyper-V.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 cloud technologies, such as Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Intune.

• Knowledge of AIX/Unix and other IBM products (IBM WebSphere MQ, WebSphere, Tivoli Storage Manager Backup) is a plus.

Certifications:

• Certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, or AWS technologies, such as Azure Administrator Associate, End Point Administrator Associate, or AWS SysOps Administrator, are preferred.
