Kerry is hiring a VM Windows System Engineer for a large information technology company experienced in the installation and maintenance of virtualization software such as Windows Server and vSphere.
This role will involve the installation of hardware and software along with the maintenance of various systems including the Anti-Virus systems, system security and compliance, and the setup of file systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day-to-day IT infrastructure support involving Windows infrastructure, problem and incident management, Deskside support with advance troubleshooting and root cause analysis for the incidents in an ITIL framework. You should have strong knowledge in Active directory, VMware or any virtualization tools
- The role also involves Vendor Management and ensuring the calls raised with Vendor are attended and closed as per SLAs
- Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities
- Implementing ETL process
- Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes
- Defining data retention policies
Skills and experience required:
- Min Degree in Information Technology, Electrical / Electronic, Information Systems or related field with at least 5 years of experience in server administration and maintenance preferably supporting a large end-user base
- ITIL Certification is desirable
- Experience in windows system administration, VMware, problem and incident management handling
