System Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated System Engineer who has strong Windows Server Management experience to help manage the installation, configuration, testing and support in IT system implementation projects.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering;
• At least 2years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with a focus Windows 10 and 11 operating system;
• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware components, peripherals, and their configuration;
• Experience as a System administrator, providesupport, troubleshoot and maintain computer servers and networks;
• Good technical skill in LAN/WAN, configuration and troubleshooting server, storage and tape library hardware knowledge;
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to window servercomputing;
• Familiarity with software deployment tools and methodologies;
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and system security configurations;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
• Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills with abilityto work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
• Able to work within tight timelines with good prioritization skills.

Desired Skill-set

• Knowledge in networking technologies encompassing Fortinet, Sophos and Cisco switch, router, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 and 11 operating systems in theIT system implementation projects;
• Manage IT operations including managing servers, active directory, backups, virtualization, storage and other infrastructure related tools;
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues related to servers;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software applications, updates, and patches across the serverenvironment;
• Implement and manage security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption, to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities;
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient utilization of the serversand responsiveness of user applications;
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users, addressing inquiries, resolving problems, and offering training as needed;
• Performing on-site for system troubleshooting to support users facing issues on both Windows and Linux systems;
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures;
• Understanding the customers system architecture and design to better support future enhancement in server system usage;
• Deploy endpoint protection and ensure firewalls are configured properly on both Windows and Linux systems;
• Manage and follow up with IT vendors on IT service level delivery and serverissue;
• Collaborate with various IT vendors on project implementation.
