Systems Engineer, Office of Research IT (GIS)

Responsibilities :

The candidate will be involved in project activities such as evaluating and recommending suitable technology and solutions, conducting Proofs-of-Concept (POCs), and coordinating projects from ideation through to completion. In addition, the candidate is to provide end users IT service and support within A.STAR EUC environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all IT hardware/software and equipment (including but not limited to PC, IP Phones, and Printers).

Requirements :

• Diploma in Computer Engineering, IT or equivalent certifications
• Min 2 years of IT work experience with demonstrated problem solving and customer service skills
• At least 3 years of experience in desktop computing, End User support, server administration and IT security.
• Competent in Windows OS, Apple MacOS, iOS devices and Linux Endpoints.
• Experience in Server Environment and AD Administration and tools including WSUS, Tanium, MS Intune.
• Understanding of IP Phone, LAN, Wifi, WAN, Firewalls, VPN technologies
