Job Description:
As Manager/Senior Manager, International Tax, you will assist tax leaders within the Tax function with managing regional corporate tax compliance and support of M&A, tax planning, tax accounting, tax audit and indirect (GST/VAT) compliance. Specifically, functions will include:
Manage regional direct and indirect tax compliance, including partnering with internal finance shared services center and liaison with outside service providers. Have working knowledge of foreign withholding tax rules and assist with WHT compliance Integrate processes, procedures and technologies to enhance tax compliance quality and efficiency Assist with tax analysis as part of the quarterly and annual tax accounting processes Mange post-acquisition integration of the tax function Participate in tax planning and manage tax direct and indirect tax compliance related to legal entity rationalization projects Responsible for tax notices and inquiries Manage tax audits in conjunction with advisers including data collection, settlement recommendation and other aspects of audit/litigation process Coordinate and collaborate with offices in multiple time-zones Ad hoc tax projects as assigned
Tax Qualifications
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, CPA/Chartered Accountant, and/or MS in Taxation preferred Minimum 8+ years with a combination of major public accounting firm and MNC in high tech industry, with a minimum of 5 years international tax experience Strong technical background and practical experience handling international direct and indirect tax issues for MNCs Strong accounting and analytical skills with ability to research and apply tax law; willing to learn new technical skills independently or with the mentorship of more experienced team members when necessary Strong excel skills Experience with other tax automation tools or analytical tools a plus Be able to communicate tax issues clearly and interact effectively
