Teaching Assistant

We are a boutique CPE registered school, offering classes tailored to both mainstream children and children facing developmental or academic challenges.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside our dedicated Special Education Teacher to support student learning, foster inclusivity, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed. You will play a crucial role in helping students with diverse learning needs by offering individualized attention, assisting with classroom activities, and creating a positive and encouraging environment.

• Assist teachers with class preparation, admin and implementation of lesson plans
• Assist teachers in designing intervention programmes to support the development of children in the class.
• Assist the lead teacher in classroom, behavioural management and organization
• Support lesson preparation, including preparing materials and setting up activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
• Record student progress and lesson delivery in a timely manner
• Supervise students during activities and transitions to maintain a safe environment
• Help manage administrative tasks, such as attendance and material inventory

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Min 3 years and prior experience working in an educational setting, preferably with inclusive or special needs environments.
• A passion for working with children in a diverse and inclusive setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting classroom needs
• Able to start Jan 2025
