Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and adventurous Teaching Assistant Intern to join our team. In this role, you will lead children on exciting journeys of discovery and exploration, facilitating experiences that promote personal growth and learning. Your work will not only support the children but also contribute to enhancing the overall quality of life for their families. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students or recent graduates in education, special education, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1) Assist lead teachers in designing and implementing experiential learning activities that encourage adventure and exploration.
2) Guide students in hands-on projects and outdoor experiences that foster curiosity and independence.
3) Create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment that inspires students to discover their interests.
4) Support students in developing social skills and building relationships through group activities and collaborative projects.
5) Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers on individual needs and successes.
6) Participate in planning and facilitating extracurricular activities and events that promote family engagement and community connection. 7) Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies that support student well-being and growth.
8) Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources for lessons that emphasize discovery-based learning.
