Job Description

Your role:

Are you a Subject Matter Expert when it comes to Apache/Tomcat, Cloud (Azure) or tools like AppDynamics and Splunk Do you have experience managing senior IT stakeholders and business partners Do you have the ability to solve complex issues, addressing both technical and business needs

Then join us as an Technology (Level2) Support Analyst (SME) :

  • Manage local business and operations stakeholders
  • Utilize and hone your IT skills working with Cloud (Azure), Unix, WebSphere/Tomcat/Apache, Shell/Perl scripting, AppDynamics, Splunk/ Automation Anywhere, MQ or EMS
  • Ensure production stability and availability for key operational business processes
  • Investigate and resolve incidents by identifying the impacted component, analyzing the impact and performing the right remediation measures
  • Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
  • Plan and execute BCM for applications and rollout new releases (including OS patching, certificate renewals)
  • Manage the full spectrum of Production Support responsibilities, based on the ITIL Framework: Incident and Problem Management, Change and Release Management, Risk Management

Your team:

You'll be working in the Application Support WMPC team in Singapore. We support critical front office and back office functions within Wealth Management. Our team provides application & infrastructure related technical support to ensure end-to-end production stability and availability with an unwavering focus and aim to serve client needs. Aligned to the UBS WMPC business and IT application service line, we ensure that our approach is oriented to uphold the trust and manage the relationship between IT and our financial advisers and their clients.

Your expertise:

  • Ideally 5-10 years of Level2 Production support experience in a global environment
  • Hands-on experience and good knowledge of WebSphere, Linux, Cloud (Azure) and automation/application monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk/Selenium and Jenkins.
  • Highly committed, resilient and have a strong focus on accountability with a commitment to resolving issues, managing stakeholder communication, and following the appropriate escalation matrix
  • Have strong analytical, problem solving and synthesizing skills
  • Able to drive service improvements (set up telemetry for early detection of incidents, fast recovery and automation of repetitive/manual tasks)
